Talk: How to Feel Connected

See testimonials here

In a world so apparently "connected", why do people feel lonely? How can we balance enjoying our own company, while getting the connection we need? How can we, as individuals, bring more connection to others?

This interactive talk, for teams and organisations, is designed to explore these questions, with insights and exercises to understand our relationship with loneliness - including:

  • Unsociable media: Modern innovations, like the internet, were supposed to make us feel more connected. So why is the opposite happening - and how can we use the digital world to actually feel that connection?

  • Loneliness vs Solitude: Taking time to be alone can be a great thing - but something we often avoid, for fear of feeling lonely. So what's the difference? And how can we embrace "me time" in a positive way?

  • The lockdown delusion: Lockdown has become so comfy - staying inside, avoiding other people's annoying habits and opinions…maybe even a little too comfy? As many of us start moving out of lockdown, how can we expand our comfort zone and start enjoying each other again?

  • Looking out for others: It isn't always easy to tell when others are feeling lonely or down. So how can we know what to look for - and make sure to provide support, when needed?

The interactive talk lasts 45 mins + Q&A. Want to know more? Email contact@richgoddard.co or leave your details below.
