coaching
I’m an Executive and Work-Life Coach - accredited by the Association of Coaching (AC), with qualifications from institutions like the University of Cambridge and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
I’ve worked with hundreds of individuals and dozens of major organisations, helping people of all career types and seniorities to build a fulfiling, balanced work-life that works specifically for them. These include:
Businesses & employees: working with employees at all levels of business, from senior leaders to team members, on both an individual and team basis.
Entrepreneurs: those building a business of their own, facing the unique practical and psyhcological challenges that come with it.
Individuals: whatever your current working status, I work with individuals to help them gain direction in their work-life and take action towards it.
Typical focus areas for clients include:
Work-life balance - maintaining peak performance, wellbeing and quality of life
Career choices - from giant leaps to progressive steps
Leadership skills, style and values
The entrepreneur’s journey
Moving into a new role, promotion or workplace
Imposter thoughts and being confident in work
Finding purpose and meaning in work
Effective communication and coaching techniques
coaching session structure
The structure of my coaching sessions can vary, depending on who it’s with and what they’re facing. But in all cases, they are designed as a space for clients to zoom out from the day-to-day of life and work, filter out the noise and focus in on what is most important to them, personally.
During sessions, I’ll use a range of evidence-based, practical and psychological techniques to guide through the following:
1. Reflection
What is most important for you to focus on, in both work and life - whether right now or in the bigger picture?
What are your personal and professional strengths, weaknesses, opportunities or threats?
What are your values and ambitions for your work-life - and what makes them more important to you than anything else?
2. Direction
What are the steps required to get to where you want to be?
What might stand in the way - and how will you navigate it?
Who else is involved - and how can you make sure you’re on the same page?
3. Action
What are the steps you need to take - and how can you make sure you’ll take them?
How can you create processes, structures, habits and behaviours for success?
How can you make sure you stay motivated and move through fear, rejection and set backs?
Sessions last for 1 hour, in which we’ll clearly define your aims and objectives, providing actionable outcomes to go away with and review in our next session.
