The Human-Centred Leadership Model
My approach to coaching puts human skills at the centre of personal, professional and organisational growth. Complementing technical skills, the Human-Centred Leadership Model develops skills which put mental resilience, wellbeing and emotional intelligence as the foundation for peak performance and realised potential.
The Four Layers of Human-Centred Leadership
The four layers, all interconnected and based on Maslow’s heirarchy of needs, use our basic, foundational needs for health and wellbeing to build towards self- and collective-actualisation; allowing leaders and team members to become the best version of themselves and, in turn, allowing the same for their teams and colleagues.
My coaching process works with people, teams and organisations to develop skills and tools in each of these areas, for consistent, incremental growth.
1. Foundation: Wellbeing, Resilience & Work-Life Integration
Building wellbeing habits and work-life integration.
Managing stress, working effectively and avoiding burnout.
Supporting your team and creating a healthy culture.
2. Direction: Values, Mission & Purpose
Defining personal values and and knowing your “why”.
How to think strategically.
Building a vision for yourself and your team.
3. Communication: Relational Skills, Emotional Intelligence & Inspiring Others
Active listening, emotional intelligence and coaching skills.
Selling yourself and building your personal brand.
Dealing with conflict and difficult conversations.
4. Expansion: Driving Growth, Productivity, and Performance
Setting personal and professional goals.
Productivity, performance, time management and delegation.
Psychological barriers, imposter thoughts and building self belief.
This model forms the basis of my coaching programmes, for individuals and teams, and the core areas which I believe are most important for modern leadership.
